About the wine maker

Masserie Pisari is located between Gallipoli and Leuca, in the Feudo d’Ugento (the ancient “Ozan”) in an area where the Negroamaro and Primitivo vines have been cultivated for centuries with vineyards over 60 years old. The area is called “Conca d’oro” and the soils are clayey, red and rich in potassium. The vineyards are a few kilometers from the sea. The property is owned by Giordano Emo Capodilista and the oenologist is Andrea Boaretti, a Venetian dedicated to the Salento region and who deals with other wineries in Puglia. The grape yield is kept low and the temperature control is manic. The result is fresh, fruity and perfect wines that give a pure taste of this isolated and beautiful part of Italy.
