Bolgheri Superiore DOC 2010 – Argentiera

Argentiera, Bolgheri DOC Superiore, draws its strength and uniqueness from the magnificent land that generated it. Its grapes come from the company’s most suitable vineyards of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
It is a wine with a rich and silky taste. The long maturation in French oak barriques, the intriguing structure and the unique terroir of Argentiera make this wine one of the best expressions of the Bolgheri area.

About this wine

The grapes, harvested manually and selected, come from the most suitable parcels of the company which are located between 180 and 200 m above sea level. The whole grapes fall into the tanks by gravity, the varieties were vinified separately. Fermentation and maceration took place in steel tanks for about 25/30 days at a controlled temperature not exceeding 28/30° C. The wine was transferred to half new 225 l French oak barriques in which the malolactic fermentation. After 14 months of aging in barriques, the wine is blended and prepared for bottling. It rests in the bottle for about a year.
