Cacc'e mmitte di Lucera DOP is a wine with an intense ruby red color; the nose is sweet with red berries and black cherry, on a veil of mineral notes, with nuances of cinchona and graphite; the flavor is fresh and soft, with a strong tannic structure and sapidity.
Wine suitable to accompany well-structured typically Mediterranean dishes such as baked pasta with meat sauce and chicken entrails, Apulian pasta with meat and vegetable ragù, tasty legume soups. Among the main courses, it goes well with a succulent grilled sausage, roast pork and lamb in the oven or stewed, grilled red meats, spicy cold cuts and aged sheep cheeses.
It should be served at a temperature of 16 ° / 18 ° C; if consumed within 2-3 years from the harvest, it reveals all its qualities to the fullest.
